NEW DUTCH MASTERS

SAM FELDT

Dutch DJ, producer, platinum selling artist and sustainability pioneer, Sam Feldt has built a career upon his distinctly feel-good sound. Sam already has a double album and a multitude of top-selling releases under his belt. Besides his musical activities he has developed a platform – Fangage – for artists to connect with their fans better. Characterized by heavy use of vocals and live instruments, Sam Feldt’s music is warm and intimate, and lends itself especially well to true live performance.

For Remastered Sam created the opening track of the main experience: “I chose the work of Jeroen Bosch I wanted to transform his world into a magical world.”

proud of the work done for REMASTERED.

Developing something of this magnitude was certainly a daunting challenge, but thanks to their openness and trust, and the enthusiasm and effort of our team, we are happy and excited of having brought this project to completion.

Our tasks were riddled with artistic and technical obstacles. Consistent and incremental research and development processes were therefore crucial in finding the right balance between complexity and performance. We spent for instance a considerable amount of time researching the best way to simulate the organic and beautiful motion of schools of fish and flocks of birds, which form the backbone of our content.

These simulations run in real-time, using a distributed system, and are never-repeating, constantly-evolving generative processes. Our final goal nonetheless was to hide the technology as much as possible so that the experience of the environments is convincing, memorable and approachable for everyone.

We believe that the Remastered will prove to be an exciting location worth visiting in Rotterdam and hope that the visitors have as much fun exploring the installations as we had in building them.
